Polyester resin SILMAR 2880 - Tin (5 liters)

A brilliant resin, always consistent and UV stable. Easy to use, precise gel and cure times, quick and stable resin, Silmar is used by most of the world's top surfboard shapers.

The Silmar2880 is the methacrylated version of the 249 BLH, with the same "color"

Advantage of methacrylate resins :

-low temperature hardening
-fast curing time
-excellent intercoat adhesion
-good resistance to aging and UV

Inconvenients :

-very strong smell

Its simply the best

I used this as a clear coat on top of my application of metal-flakes again on top of my coloured gelcoat. This Silmar acts like clear candy. All other products have, if not a directly brown tan, then a unwanted tan. Viral Surf gives very good information and is easy to trade with + fast shipment.
